HopeSource is now able to recycle CFL bulbs! |

CFL bulbs contain Mercury and
it is NOT recommended to dispose of CFL's in household trash.
|
Instead, HopeSource along with the Department of Energy encourage the proper recycling of CLF bulbs to minimize impact on the environment and your health.
We have a drop off box located in our Ellensburg office. 601 W. 5th Ave.
If the CFL bulb is broken the pieces must be in a sealed container.

If you break CFL bulb it is very important to ventilated the room for at least fifteen minutes after breaking, then carefully put the pieces in a sealed container.
