"Shop with a Cop"

December 11th, 2009 - For many, many years now our local State Troopers, Fire Department, Police Department, and Sheriff's Department have sponsored "Shop with a Cop."

About 30 elementary kids gathered at Morgan Middle School where they had breakfast and 14 lucky kids had their names drawn in a bicycle give away. Then a good size motorcade drove to Bi-Mart where these kids could buy gifts for their families and friends. The children who participated were selected from schools around the county based on academics, behavior and citizenship.

The bikes and the gifts "... were donated by individuals, agencies and groups."
