HopeSource Transit System is dedicated to providing exceptional transportation services that promote greater self-sufficiency for Kittitas County.
- HopeSource Transit is a priority based door-to-door transportation service. Priorities are senior medical and nutrition, general public medical, social services, and employment. Rides for any other reasons, such as hair appointments, general shopping trips, or recreation, will be referred to Central Transit if the passenger lives in Ellensburg.
- Reservations for HopeSource Transit and changes to existing trips may be scheduled with Dispatch at the RideLine Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Monday rides must be scheduled by 3:00 p.m. the Friday before. Tuesday rides following a Monday holiday must be scheduled by 3:00 p.m. the Friday before.
- Rides may be booked 1 to 14 days in advance of the appointment. Certain hours of the day may already be heavily booked, so the dispatcher may suggest a substitute time. We recommend flexibility if your trip does not require a specific time. Reservations are required for all trips. Same day reservations are not available. Changes to a ride must be made during booking hours the day before. Same day changes are considered on a space available basis. Bus operators are not able to accept or change reservations.
- Central Transit operates Sunday through Saturday 2:00 pm to midnight. There are 26 stops, including Crestview, SURC, Safeway, Fred Meyer, Super One, McDonald's, Grand Meridian Theater, and KVCH. With two busses on the road, there is a bus at each stop every 20 to 25 minutes. Each bus is equipped with a wheelchair lift and securements.
