Ben's Story:
Jessica's son Ben, who is almost 16, hangs out with his friend Steve up on D Street. He decided he didn’t want to bug people for rides up there, so he hopped on Central Transit, learned what the general schedule is, and decided to plan his outings around that so he could ride the bus where he needed to go. Jessica was quite impressed by the fact that Ben took initiative to do this and that the driver, Jason, helped him out to ensure that he could use the bus easily. Jessica was also impressed that Ben is learning responsibility because of the way our transit system operates. So yeah!
And if you knew Ben, you’d understand that this is HUGE for him.
