Anna’s Story
When Anna first connected with HopeSource, she was doing everything she could to hold her life together. Pregnant with her first child, attending college, and without stable housing, she was bouncing between couches and carrying the weight of uncertainty every day. The fear of not having a safe place to bring her baby home was overwhelming.
That’s where HopeSource stepped in.
From the very beginning, our Care Navigation team worked alongside Anna to support her one step at a time. Together, they connected her with vital resources like CareNet and DSHS to ensure she had access to healthy food, prenatal care, and supplies for her growing family.
After just a few weeks of consistent support, Anna secured a safe, affordable, fully furnished apartment. “Knowing she has a support network, it was like the heaviness was lifted off of her,” shared Care Navigator Denise Payton. “It was the first time we had really seen her smile.”
Today, Anna is no longer surviving, she’s thriving. She’s preparing to welcome her baby girl this June, continuing her education, and building a more stable future for both of them. Her story is one of resilience, partnership, and possibility. And it reflects the heart of what HopeSource does every day: walk beside people through life’s most difficult moments.
Stories like this are not the exception. They are what happens when a community commits to showing up for its neighbors.
